LEARN THE BEAUTY OF SIMPLICITY

〜A quiet moment in your daily life〜

Sometimes Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) heals you,
Sometimes Ikebana gives you an energy.

For yourself,
For your friends' reunion,
For your company's team building

Welcome to a world of Japanese beauty. Why don't you use your daily mug cup, pick up favorite flowers & leaves and enjoy this authentic art? As a gift, too, you can share it with your birthday friend who lives far distance

In Japan, you sometimes hear the term,'wabi sabi' which refers to a sense of elegant and refined simplicity. Partially
influenced by Zen, this concept represents a unique sense of Japanese beauty, strongly influencing tea ceremony & flower arrangement.

In my zoom session, I have simplified it to 1 kind of flowers(3pcs)and 1 type of tree branch or bushes(3pcs),so anybody can make their own stylish arrangement! My session include not only Ikebana but also the story of the area I live (Kyoto), followed by a short history of Japanese flower arrangement and my flower school(Kousyuryu). So if you'd like to feel Japan, it also will be perfect fit for you.
After that, I demonstrate and explain the necessary technique and skills.
Now it's your turn!
The best part of my session is you can easily apply my technique to your daily life, sure to impress your family & friends.
The added advantage is that you can enjoy a wide variety of flowers with guests through 4 seasons in Japan.
In only an hour, you can create your own flower arrangement and experience the beauty and simplicity of the Japanese sprit.

ABOUT ME

Hello,I'm Kiku. I was born and grew up in Nara.  My mother had been a ikebana teacher and had been taught for 40 years. As a young girl, I grew up watching her teaching and was captivated by the simplicit and the beauty of this unique traditional art.  After her retirement, I thought I should pass it down. I also have a licensed teacher and learning for the past 15 years.

I have lived in Kyoto for more than 20 years now and in 2016, I became a Certified Kyoto-City Guide. I've served as an interpreter and English guide for foreign guests including VIP, specializing  in the area of Japanese history and culture.

My online ikebana has been chosen by various guests around the world for several different purposes-team building,Japanese cultural studies and recreation.

My favorite Words are " Treasure every meeting, for it will never recur. " from Japanese tea ceremony proverb.

I'm looking forward to seeing you in my zoom session.

Please feel free and contact me,
